
Kohima, Jan 20 : Major General Harinder Singh Mavi assumed command as the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) on 19 January 2026, taking over from Major General Manish Kumar, Sena Medal (Bar). The formal handover ceremony was conducted with full military honours, reflecting the traditions, discipline, and decorum of the Indian Armed Forces.
