Manipur security-civil meet held in Tamenglong

Imphal, May 22: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police and CRPF, organised a joint security-civil interaction with Civil Society Organisations at New Keithalmanbi and Tamenglong in Manipur.

The meetings were aimed at strengthening coordination between security forces and local civil bodies, with a focus on improving communication, building trust, and supporting peace-building efforts in the region.
Officials from Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, and CRPF interacted with representatives of civil society groups, discussing local security concerns, community challenges, and the importance of collective efforts in maintaining stability.
Security officials emphasised that sustained engagement with local communities is essential for ensuring long-term peace, especially in sensitive and conflict-affected areas. They highlighted the role of civil society organisations in bridging gaps between security forces and the public.
Participants from civil society expressed their views on ground-level issues and stressed the need for continued dialogue, cooperation, and timely response to local concerns.
The interaction concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen coordination mechanisms and work collectively towards maintaining peace, security, and mutual understanding across the region.
