
New Delhi, Jan 16: Students of Government Higher Senior Secondary School, Mechukha, embarked on an educational National Integration Tour, visiting key landmarks in Mumbai and Chennai that combined learning, exploration, and cultural exposure.
During the tour, the students toured INS Chennai and INS Sindhuraj, gaining firsthand insight into India’s naval capabilities and operations. The visit allowed them to observe life aboard naval ships and understand the strategic role of the Indian Navy in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
In Mumbai, the students explored the Mumbai Naval Dockyard, witnessing naval engineering, maintenance processes, and shipbuilding activities, further enhancing their appreciation for India’s defense infrastructure.
The tour also included recreational and educational stops, such as Byculla Zoo, where students interacted with diverse animal species, learning about wildlife conservation, and Film City, providing a glimpse into India’s vibrant film industry and the art of filmmaking. They also visited the iconic Gateway of India, immersing themselves in the city’s rich history and heritage.
The National Integration Tour was designed to broaden the students’ horizons, promote camaraderie, and inspire patriotism by exposing them to India’s defense, wildlife, and cultural heritage.
