Mechukha, Jan 13: Students of Government Higher Senior Secondary School, Mechukha, recently undertook a National Integration Tour to Pune, where they visited the National Defence Academy (NDA), Army Sports Institute, and Symbiosis International University.

The tour offered the students an invaluable opportunity to experience the training and discipline of India’s Tri-Services at the NDA, gaining insights into the life of cadets preparing for careers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. At the Army Sports Institute, the students observed professional athlete training programs and sports development initiatives, highlighting the rigorous preparation and support provided to India’s budding sports talent.
The visit to Symbiosis International University introduced the students to higher education in diverse academic disciplines, exposing them to modern learning environments, research opportunities, and campus life.
Officials and teachers accompanying the students emphasized that such tours help broaden young minds, instil patriotism, encourage holistic development, and inspire them to pursue careers in defence, sports, and academics. The students expressed enthusiasm at witnessing firsthand the blend of discipline, physical fitness, and academic excellence, which they found highly motivating.
