Baramulla, Sep 27: Media Strikers Baramulla defeated Baramulla Legends by 41 runs to clinch the Legends Cup 2026 at Shokat Ali Stadium, Baramulla, with the final witnessing an enthusiastic response from cricket lovers.

Organised under the banner of the Baramulla Cricket Association, the tournament brought together players and cricket enthusiasts in a celebration of sporting spirit and camaraderie.
Media Strikers produced a strong performance in the final to secure the championship. Shabrooz Malik was adjudged Player of the Match after smashing a blazing 73 off just 33 balls, providing the Media Strikers with crucial momentum.
The winning trophy was presented by Malik Yaseen Hassan and received by Media Strikers captain and noted Baramulla journalist Shahid Imran.
The final was attended by several prominent personalities, including Senior Advocate Shahid Ali Shah, District President, National Conference Baramulla; Malik Yaseen Hassan, social activist and General Secretary, Narvaw Sports Association; Mohd Obaid Shah, District President, Youth NC Baramulla; Mushtaq Kirmani, President, Writers’ Forum; and Farooq Ahmad Rather, President, Varmul Sports Association.
Representatives of the Master Forum and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The Baramulla Cricket Association is led by President Sajad Ahmad, Chairman Musadiq Hassan, General Secretary Ashu Mir and Women’s Coach Zoya Wani.
Both teams displayed competitive cricket and commendable sportsmanship, making the final an entertaining conclusion to the tournament.
