28 companies offer over 1K vacancies to youth
The Chinar YUVA Centre buzzed with energy as it hosted a Mega Job Fair, jointly organized by the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) and the Dagger Division of the Indian Army.
With top companies from across the country setting up recruitment stalls, the event offered a dynamic platform where aspirations found opportunity. Hundreds of enthusiastic job seekers from Baramulla and neighboring districts thronged the venue, eager to explore diverse career paths right in their hometown.
The fair was further elevated by the gracious presence of MLA Baramulla, Javaid Hussain Baig and Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Minga Sherpa (IAS). Their active engagement with youth and appreciation of the initiative sent a powerful message of government and institutional support to the local community.
Adding a key dimension to the fair, DECC Baramulla established dedicated self-employment stalls, offering guidance to budding entrepreneurs. From startup mentorship to insights on government schemes and financial aid, these stalls ignited fresh ideas and motivated many to consider building their own ventures.
And this is just Day 1! The fair continues tomorrow—inviting all job aspirants, students and skill-trained youth to be part of this transformative experience. Whether you're in search of your next job or ready to launch your entrepreneurial journey, this is your moment.
At the heart of this initiative lies the collective vision of “Awaam aur Jawan – Aman hai Muqaam”—a belief that peace comes through progress and prosperity is born from partnership.
This initiative is a joint step towards a skilled, empowered, and self-reliant Kashmir.
