A Mega Medical and Health Checkup Camp organized by the Health and Medical Education Directorate of AYUSH, Ayush Institution of karnah [ AHWC and Dispensaries] under the supervision of DAO Kupwar in collaboration with the Indian Army, and GDC Tangdhar ,successfully concluded today at GDC Tangdhar. The camp, which marked the culmination of a District wide initiative, provided free consultations to over 1,000 individuals. Services included screening for chronic diseases, lifestyle counselling, and the distribution of Ayurvedic, Unani, and Homeopathic medicines. Patients were also given fitness tips, including yoga practices tailored to their physical conditions. The team of medical professionals included Dr. Arshed Iqbal (Camp Incharge), Dr. Shabir Ahmad Parray, Volunteer Dr Shareefabi Homoeopathic Physician, Nazir Ahmad Mughal senior pharmacists, and Sadam Hussain Mir, supported by staff members Mohd Saleem Khan, Najamu Saqib, and Nusrat Begum. This camp was the final leg of a series conducted across Kupwara District from 02-12-2024 to 05-12-2024, targeting underserved areas such as Taad, Seemari, Gundishatt, Jumgund Karen, and Tangdhar.
