Microfly precision drop in Arunachal

November 21, 2025 | BK News Service

Mechuka Valley, Nov 20: The Indian Army and Air Force successfully executed a precision drop using the Microfly Guided Precision Aerial Delivery System from an AN-32 aircraft in the Mechuka Valley, marking a major milestone in aerial logistics capabilities in the Eastern sector.

The operation was conducted jointly by the Spear Corps and the Indian Air Force, demonstrating enhanced coordination and inter-services synergy. The Microfly system allows highly accurate delivery of supplies to remote and challenging terrains, ensuring critical resources reach forward-deployed units with minimal risk and maximum efficiency.
Officials said the successful mission reinforces operational readiness and strengthens India’s capability to sustain troops in high-altitude and inaccessible areas. The drop highlights ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology into military logistics, enabling faster, safer, and more precise support for frontline operations.
This achievement is expected to play a key role in enhancing tactical flexibility, particularly in mountainous regions along the Eastern sector, ensuring that operational units can maintain sustained deployment in strategic locations.
