Military-Civil Fusion seminar concludes in Kohima

Kohima, Oct 10: The Military–Civil Fusion 2.0 Seminar 2026 concluded successfully in Kohima, Nagaland, with Assam Rifles under Spear Corps marking the culmination of deliberations focused on tourism, youth empowerment and sustainable regional development.

The seminar brought together military leadership, senior state administrators and heads of various departments to explore ways to strengthen military-civil cooperation and accelerate development through coordinated institutional efforts.
Centred on the theme “Tourism and Youth Empowerment,” the seminar highlighted the potential of tourism to generate employment, promote entrepreneurship and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people. Participants deliberated on strategies to equip youth with relevant skills, encourage enterprise and harness the region’s tourism potential for inclusive economic growth.
The discussions also underscored the importance of stronger coordination between the armed forces and civil administration in addressing regional development priorities. Institutional military-civil data sharing emerged as an important area of deliberation, with emphasis on improving information exchange, strengthening interdepartmental coordination and facilitating more effective planning and implementation.
The seminar provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify areas of mutual cooperation and explore practical approaches to linking institutional capabilities with local development needs.
The role of tourism in supporting local businesses, creating new economic opportunities and engaging young people in productive activities remained a key focus of the discussions. Participants stressed the need for collaborative initiatives that could translate regional potential into tangible benefits for communities.
The successful conclusion of the seminar reaffirmed the collective commitment of military and civil stakeholders to institutional synergy, youth empowerment and sustainable development in the Northeast.
