He was speaking at the 20th Annual Day celebrations of JP World School.
The Minister lauded the school for shaping disciplined, socially responsible, and enlightened citizens. He emphasized that education should nurture curiosity, innovation, ethical values, and respect for diversity, which are essential for building an inclusive society.
Highlighting J&K’s emergence as a hub of innovation and technological growth, he noted government initiatives in digital governance, scientific research, start-ups, and youth-led innovation, offering new opportunities for students. “Today’s students will be the architects of tomorrow’s J&K. They must combine scientific thinking with cultural sensitivity to drive sustainable development,” he said.
The celebrations began with the inauguration of the school’s new anthem and included vibrant cultural performances under the theme “Rekindling the Yuletide Spirit.” National and international sportspersons, alumni, and brand ambassadors were felicitated, including a virtual interaction with Seerat Baji, IAS, who secured AIR 516 in the 2023 UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Chairperson Dr. Panna Manhas Choudhary and Principal Aparna Kohli highlighted the school’s achievements and commitment to value-based, holistic education, balancing academics, sports, creativity, and character building.
