Ministers from Jammu and Kashmir have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in Reasi and Ramban districts due to natural calamities, including cloudbursts and landslides.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, described the tragedies as heart-wrenching and extended her condolences to the bereaved families. She assured that district administrations, along with the health department and disaster management authorities, have been mobilized to provide immediate relief to the affected families. Minister Itoo also urged the public to remain cautious and adhere to safety advisories in light of ongoing inclement weather conditions.
Similarly, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, expressed anguish over the loss of lives. He extended his heartfelt condolences and prayed for the strength of the affected families. He assured that relief efforts were being prioritized and appealed to the public to remain alert and avoid vulnerable areas.
Minister for Rural Development, Javid Ahmad Dar, also conveyed his condolences and assured the government’s commitment to supporting the affected families with immediate relief and rehabilitation measures. He reaffirmed that the Jammu and Kashmir government stands in solidarity with the affected communities.
Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, offered his condolences and praised the prompt response of rescue teams and authorities. He assured that efforts would continue to restore normalcy, emphasizing the need for the public to remain vigilant and follow safety advisories.
These leaders collectively stressed the importance of caution and safety during this challenging time, while also reaffirming the government's dedication to providing assistance and ensuring timely rehabilitation for the affected families.
