Tezu , April 21 : The Dao Division under Spear Corps has launched “Mission Krishiveer” at Tezu Military Station, marking a significant step towards strengthening the “Farm to Force” initiative aimed at enhancing farmer–military collaboration and promoting rural economic upliftment.
The initiative is designed to support local farmers by creating structured linkages between agricultural production and institutional demand, thereby improving income generation, ensuring better market access, and encouraging sustainable farming practices in the region.
Under Mission Krishiveer, efforts will focus on increasing agricultural productivity through training, improved farming techniques, and direct engagement between the armed forces and farming communities. The programme also seeks to promote joint sustenance models where locally produced agricultural goods can contribute to supply chains supporting defence establishments.
Officials stated that the initiative not only aims at economic empowerment of farmers but also strengthens civil–military cooperation in forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh. By integrating local produce into institutional consumption frameworks, the mission is expected to provide a stable demand base for farmers while ensuring fresh and locally sourced supplies.
The launch event at Tezu Military Station highlighted the Indian Army’s continued focus on community development initiatives in border regions, with emphasis on self-reliance, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
Mission Krishiveer is expected to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other remote and strategically important regions, reinforcing the broader vision of connecting rural livelihoods with national institutions for mutual benefit.
