Mizoram, Manipur heroes remembered for their acts of valour

Manipur, Nov1 : On Nov 1, a solemn ceremony was held to honor the brave soldiers who displayed exceptional courage and selflessness during fierce encounters in Champai, Mizoram, and Ukhrul, Manipur. These acts of valor took place in 1966 and 2007, where soldiers fought gallantly against insurgents, upholding the highest traditions of military service.

The ceremony paid tribute to the sacrifices of several valiant soldiers, including Rifleman (Late) Lushai Mohan Chakma, Rifleman (Late) Bhim Bahadur Sunar, Rifleman (Late) Dal Bahadur Thapa, Rifleman (Late) Ashwini Sarkar, Rifleman (Late) Om Prakash Lohar, Rifleman (Late) Hari Lal Giri, Major (Late) Ravi Vaish, Rifleman (Late) Gyaneshwar Singh, and Rifleman (Late) H. Sahini. These soldiers laid down their lives while defending the nation, demonstrating immense bravery in the face of adversity.
The ceremony, attended by military officials and families of the fallen heroes, reflected the nation’s gratitude and respect for their sacrifices.
