
Wushu competition is being organized at Kanchenjunga Stadium in Uttarakhand in the 38th National Games. Under the competition, Wushu player Yash Namdev of MP won gold and Rohit Jadhav won silver medal in the event of Daoshu Taolu by giving commendable performance in Wushu. Both the players have been training under the guidance of Vishwamitra Awardee Sarika Gupta, coach of Indian Wushu team for the last several years and are international players. Rohit Jadhav has also represented India in the last Asian Games and along with his coach, he also won bronze in the Junior Asian International competition in 2017, while Yash has previously won three gold, two silver, four bronze medals in national Wushu competitions. Sarika Gupta said that yesterday Sparsh Khare and Purnima Rajak had to settle for fourth place whereas Qazi Scindia finished fifth today. We are confident that we will win more medals in two disciplines tomorrow and in the Sanda event today the players are in the quota finals whose results will be declared on the last day.
