
The Wushu team of Madhya Pradesh left the city today with its coach. The President of the Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party, Ashutosh Mishra, sent off the Madhya Pradesh Wushu team from Jabalpur station to Dehradun with best wishes. It is known that seeing no hearing on the demand for their coach as a coach for the National Games, training and other facilities for all the players were provided to the Madhya Pradesh Wushu team by Rangbhoomi family at the Right Town Stadium, Jabalpur, and training was organized under the training of their coach Vishwamitra Awardee Indian Wushu Team Coach Sarika Gupta and arrangements for the training were made. The entire Rangbhoomi family has given all possible support to the Wushu team to train in an encouraging environment. All the 23 selected Wushu players had refused to join the camp due to the absence of their coach's name in the camp organized by the Sports Youth Welfare Department organized by the Madhya Pradesh Government. Due to which all the players have not received any facilities provided by the Sports Department till now. Hence, all the players have been given ticket kits etc. by coach Sarika Gupta, IPS Shri NK Tripathi, and Rangbhoomi family. However, the Sports Department has assured coach Sarika Gupta of giving the kits in Dehradun.
It is known that last time in the 37th National Games Goa, Madhya Pradesh Wushu team had made a significant contribution to the medal tally of Madhya Pradesh by winning three gold, two silver and one bronze medals. National Games Goa medal winning players Shubham Raj Patel, Poorvi Soni, Subhash Tomar, Sakshi Jatav, Bhu Raksha Dubey, Vanshika Namdev, Rohit Jadhav, etc. are strong contenders for medals in Madhya Pradesh Wushu team this time too and are ready to give medals to Madhya Pradesh again. All the players have received training under their coach Vishwamitra Awardee Sarika Gupta, coach of Indian Wushu Team, who is the coach of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Team since Assam National Games 2006, when Wushu started participating in National Games and Madhya Pradesh has won the maximum number of medals till date under her training.
