Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukerjee was a great ideologue, thinker and advocate of Akhand Bharat and was staunch opponent of the special status under the article 370 of the constitution and propunder of united India. Mukerjee laid down his life for the noble cause of the fuller integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India. He was a true visionary of united India and it goes to his credit that more than 500 princely stated were integrated with India by this great leader.
Mukerjee was integration supporter and advocate of EaK Vidhan,Eak Ptradan ,Eak Nishan and proponent of such an India which is free from caste discrimination. He was the founding father of Bhartiya Jan Sangh and he resigned from the Congress government of Nehru and founded nationalist political party known as BJS and contested Lok Sabha election on the independent ticket.
He opposed the permit system which was in vogue in Jammu and Kashmir even after the independence of the country and despite the accession of J&K with India and resisted this separatist practice and entered Jammu and Kashmir without permit and died mysteriously and thus sacrificed his life for JK’s integration with India. The seeds of integration were laid down by Dr.Mukerjee and his vision was united India and assimilation of J&K with India by keeping the identity of J&K alive. Mukerjees vision was great and scientific and he had the foresight and political acumen and leadership qualities which showed his vision so for as the united India is concerned.
It is the Prime minister Narendra Modi whose resolve translated the vision of Mukeerjee into reality by abrogation Article 370 of the constitution of India in August 5/6 2019 and integrated Jammu and Kashmir fully with India and set aside the special status and position of Jammu and Kashmir. Thus, it is the iron resolve of Modi which translated the great vision of Mukerjee into reality. Annulling, Article 370 is a historical and epoch-making decision of Modi and he and Mukeerjee will be remembered for many years for this big and nationalist decision,formers for his great resolve and the latter for his visionary approach. In fact, Prime minister Narendra Modi has implemented Dr.Mukherjee’s vision in toto.
Mukherjee’s soul will be at ease because his great vision was fulfilled by annulling the controversial Article 370 and it is a decision of extra -ordinary nature and the nation is indebted to Mukherjee great vision and Modi’s resolve and decision of implementing the vision and blueprint of Mukerjee who sacrificed his life for the unity, integrity and fuller integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India. Mukherjee was a key architect of modern India and his contribution to India and its unity and integrity cannot be underestimated and exaggerated as well as cannot be belittled.
He was a visionary statesman, educationist and fearless parliamentarian who always raised the issues of people in parliament. His, ideas and vision continue to shape the destiny of India. His sacrifice for the unification of Jammu and Kashmir with India will always be remembered for years to come. Mukherjee sacrificed his life for the complete integration of JK with India.PM Modi fulfilled Mukherjees dream 66 years after his martyrdom. Social cohesion and harmony are the shinning contributions of Mukherjee to nation. He was the proponent of one nation, one constitution and one flag and this vision and dream of Mukherjee was fulfilled by PM Modi in 2019 and Modi has made impossible possible and thus we say ‘’Modi hai to Mumkin hia.
His Martyrdom in Kashmir while fighting for the complete integration of J&K with India remained the defining moment in the country’s history. He always stood for united and developed India and Modi is treading on the path of unity and development shown by the great visionary Dr Mukherjee. He was of the strong conviction that the people of Jammu and Kashmir should take active part in the development and socio-political development of India. He wanted to have discrimination less Jammu and Kashmir and Modi is doing everything to pursue and fulfil the dreams and vision of the great leader.
Chief minister of Uttarakhand has said, Prime minister Modi implemented Dr Mukherjee’s vision and dream. He was the true patriot and champion of democracy and was the firm believer that the fruits of democracy and development should reach to the last man in the queue. He wanted a discrimination less India and Modi is striving to make India as a discrimination free country and society. Dr Mukherjee worked relentlessly on several national issues, including opposition to Article 370.He safeguarded democracy in West Bengal and Kolkata. He never compromised on his principles and on unjust system. Prime minister fulfilled Dr Mukherjees life mission by taking the bold and historic decision of abrogation of Article 370.Once Dr Mukherjee has delivered a powerful speech in parliament opposing Article 370.
Mukherjee as well as Ambedkar were of the firm opinion that JK is not only the piece of land but the very soul of India and thus both these great leaders were against the inclusion of Article 370 in the constitution of India. Dr Mukherjee believed that India’s unity is non-negotiable and there cannot be any compromise with it. He stood for united, powerful and developed India where there is no discrimination. Dr Mukherjee guided the people as to how, they should view the nation. Today, India under the able leadership of PM Modi is making exponential strides in its development journey to achieve his other vision of building a strong, united, powerful and developed India. LG Manoj Shina said that the achievements of J&k post abrogation of Article 370 are guided by the dream of Dr Mukherjee and resolve of PM Modi. Mukherjee wanted to build a discrimination free Jammu and Kashmir and change its destiny by complete integration with India. He wanted participation of the people of India in mainstream of development and nation building. With,the inspiration of Mukherjee and commitment of Prime minister Modi, Jammu and Kashmir is setting new records of socio-economic and technological development. There was great influence of Mukherjee on the intellectual, educational and cultural landscape of India.His contribution for industrial development is very much. He was the chief architect of India’s industrialisation and he laid the solid foundation of a self-reliant India. To sum up it can be said that India of today is very much shaped by the vision, dream of Mukherjee and resolve and commitment of PM Modi.
