
In a proud moment for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, young Taekwondo athlete Mutaib Masood has clinched the Gold Medal in the Cadet Boys Below 57 Kg weight category at the 8th Cadet National Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship 2025, held from 21st to 23rd November 2025 at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
The prestigious championship was organised by the Uttar Pradesh Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India.
Mutaib, a dedicated trainee of Shield Taekwondo Academy Doda, represented J&K UT under the expert coaching and guidance of Mr. Burhan Ud Din Khan (Taekwondo Coach & Referee). His remarkable performance stood out among 21 competing teams in the Under-57 Kg Cadet Boys category, where he fought fiercely through the semifinals and finals against athletes from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
This victory marks a historic moment for J&K UT, showcasing the emerging talent and increasing excellence of young athletes from the region.
