Srinagar, Sep 27:MY Bharat J&K under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, organised a Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Awareness Weeks Awareness Campaign, with the theme “My Health, My Pride”, at SP Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh, Srinagar.

dr. Bharat Bhushan Lal, MLA Kathua, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he stressed the need for sustained efforts to prevent drug abuse among young people and encouraged students to make healthy and positive choices in life.
The programme featured several activities aimed at promoting health awareness and strengthening the message of a drug-free society. A Health Check-up Camp was organised for the participants, along with awareness activities and interaction with students on the harmful effects of substance abuse.
A Nasha-Mukt Pledge was also administered to the students and participants, who pledged to stay away from drugs and contribute towards creating a healthier and drug-free society. The programme was organised in the spirit of Seva Pakhwada, highlighting the values of service, social responsibility and community participation.
The District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Srinagar, was also present and addressed the gathering. In his address, he highlighted the importance of meaningful youth participation in nation-building and briefed the students about the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialoguer (VBYLD). He also emphasised the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan, urging young people to stay away from drugs, adopt healthy lifestyles and become responsible contributors to society.
Students, teachers, MY Bharat volunteers and other participants actively participated in the programme and awareness activities.
