Srinagar, Nov 5: The National conference leadership would meet the disgruntled MLAs, who are unhappy over recent cabinet reshuffle of Omar Abdullah government, on Friday.

NC MLA Salman Ali Sagar today met one of the disgruntled MLA Nazir Ahmad Gurezi at his Tulsibagh residence.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sagar said differences among party legislators were being unnecessarily portrayed as a larger political crisis.
“There is no rebellion in the party. Some members have small grievances, and those will be sorted out. They may have already fixed a time with the Chief Minister,” he claimed.
Sagar said the party leadership was in direct contact with the legislators who had raised concerns and expressed confidence that the issues would be resolved through dialogue.
“Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah are looking at these matters minutely. There is no such thing as a rebel in the party,” he said.
Asked about a possible meeting between the leadership and the legislators, Sagar indicated that discussions were expected, adding that recent engagements of senior leaders had caused a brief delay in addressing their concerns.
“There were several important engagements in Delhi, which led to a break of a few days. Now that those engagements are over, the leadership will discuss the concerns of the legislators,” he said.
He maintained that communication gaps and disagreements were common within political organisations and should not automatically be interpreted as signs of a split.
“Sometimes there is a communication gap, sometimes there are arguments and small disagreements. Such things happen in every family. The leadership is sorting them out,” Sagar said.
Sources said the meeting between NC leadership and the disgruntled NC MLAs would take place tomorrow morning.
They said NC president Farooq Abdullah would meet the disgruntled MLAs, who again met today to reiterate their demands.
Today’s meeting at the residence of NC MLA from Pampore Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi was the fourth meeting of the group, whose deliberations since October 30 have raised questions about the stability of the government.
About 20 disgruntled MLAs not happy over the cabinet reshuffle and are demanding dropping of all four ministers who have been part of Omar government after its formation, removal of CM's advisors, fulfillment of all poll promises and aggressive approach on restoration of statehood and Article 370 and more say in party's affairs.
Asked whether he was personally mediating between the legislators and the leadership, Sagar said the party's senior leadership was handling the matter directly.
“The leadership is directly in touch with everyone. All these legislators are in contact with the leadership,” he said.
