Dimapur, Oct 6: An Army Attachment Camp for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets was conducted at Dimapur, Nagaland, under the aegis of Spear Corps, providing young participants with hands-on exposure to military life, discipline and leadership.
The camp was aimed at inculcating discipline, teamwork, confidence and a spirit of service among the cadets while familiarising them with the values, traditions and professional ethos of the Indian Army.
During the camp, the cadets participated in practical training and activities designed to provide them with a better understanding of military functioning. They received exposure to weapon-handling procedures, combat skills and the emerging use of modern drone technology in military operations.
The interaction with Army personnel also gave the cadets an opportunity to understand the importance of discipline, physical fitness, teamwork and quick decision-making in military life.
The exposure to the Army’s training environment enabled the young participants to gain a deeper appreciation of the rich heritage, traditions and values associated with the armed forces. The camp also encouraged them to develop leadership qualities and greater self-confidence.
Such Army Attachment Camps provide NCC cadets with valuable practical experience beyond the classroom, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world challenges. The initiative also encourages young people to cultivate qualities of responsibility, resilience and commitment to society.
The camp concluded with an emphasis on the role of youth in nation-building and the importance of contributing positively to society. Through such initiatives, the Indian Army continues to engage with young people and inspire them towards disciplined, responsible and service-oriented lives.
