Guwahati, Sep 23: A delegation of the National Defence College (NDC), comprising senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Civil Services and friendly foreign countries, visited Headquarters Spear Corps as part of its Forward Area Tour, officials said.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the operational dynamics and logistics infrastructure of the Corps, with emphasis on its role in maintaining territorial integrity, regional security and operational readiness.
The interaction provided the visiting officers an overview of the challenges involved in managing operations and logistics across the strategically important area under the Spear Corps.
The delegation was also apprised of the operational preparedness and logistical mechanisms that support the Corps in meeting its responsibilities in diverse and demanding conditions.
The visit formed part of the NDC’s Forward Area Tour, designed to provide senior officers and international participants with practical exposure to India’s operational environment and the functioning of its military formations.
The engagement also facilitated an exchange of perspectives among officers from the Armed Forces, Civil Services and friendly foreign countries, contributing to a broader understanding of India’s defence preparedness and regional security concerns.
