The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued new school timings for all government and recognized private institutions across the Kashmir Division, effective November 1.

As per order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, schools within Srinagar Municipal limits will function from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm while those outside the municipal limits and in other districts of the Kashmir Division will operate from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The Directorate has instructed all institutions to strictly adhere to the revised schedule and has circulated the order to Deputy Commissioners, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, and other concerned departments for enforcement.
The adjustment in school hours comes as part of the seasonal shift in timings to accommodate the shorter daylight hours during the winter months.
