Srinagar, Aug 23: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted searches at three locations in Anantnag district in connection with a terror-related case, officials said.
The searches were carried out at a house in Kreeri Shahabad, Doru, a location at SICOP in Bijbehara and the residence of a person detained under the Public Safety Act in Sadoora.
Officials said the searches were conducted in connection with FIR No. RC/2026/02 registered under Sections 23 of the UAPA, 7/25 of the Arms Act and Section 4 of the Explosives Act.
During the search at Kreeri Shahabad, Doru, the NIA team searched the residence of Suhail Gani Bhat, son of Ab Gani Bhat, and seized a Redmi 9A mobile phone, officials said.
The agency subsequently conducted a search at the residence of a person presently detained under the PSA in Sadoora.
The searches were part of the ongoing investigation into the case. Further details are awaited.
