Srinagar, Aug 14: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Friday denied reports that the administration had issued any verbal order directing Kashmiri Pandit employees to work from home following the circulation of a purported threatening letter on social media.

Garg said no such order had been issued and urged people to rely only on official sources of information.
"Look, no such orders have been issued of any kind," Garg told reporters.
He appealed to the public to trust only authentic communication issued by the government and the administration.
"All of us should rely on authentic information channels, which are issued by the Information Department, the government and the administration. We should trust them," he said.
The Divisional Commissioner said adequate arrangements had been put in place for government employees, residents and those participating in Independence Day celebrations.
"As far as security is concerned, foolproof arrangements have been made, whether it is for the employees, residents or those who are participating in the Independence Day celebrations on August 15," he said.
He also urged people to participate in Independence Day events being organised across Kashmir.
"I would like to request all of you to participate in tomorrow's event in your respective districts or in Srinagar," Garg added.
