North-East seminar 2026 held in Imphal

Imphal,, Jan 13: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in collaboration with Manipur University, successfully hosted the North-East Seminar 2026 at Imphal on January 13, themed “Resurgent Manipur: Framework for Stability & Sustained Growth.”

The seminar was inaugurated and led by the Governor of Manipur alongside the Director General of Assam Rifles, attracting over 500 participants, including government officials, Assam Rifles personnel, students, and members of civil society. The event provided a platform for dialogue on strategies for socio-economic development, stability, and sustainable growth in Manipur and the broader North-East region.
The seminar featured seven eminent speakers across three plenary sessions, who shared insights on governance, security, education, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and community engagement. Discussions emphasized enhancing collaboration between the armed forces, civil administration, and academia to create actionable frameworks for regional development.
Participants highlighted the role of Assam Rifles not only in security and border management, but also in supporting peacebuilding, community development, and youth initiatives. The seminar concluded with a call for continued civil–military cooperation and holistic strategies to achieve sustained growth and stability in the North-East.
This event reinforced Assam Rifles’ commitment to strengthening ties with local communities while contributing to the socio-economic and strategic development of the region.
