Northern Command Chief reviews security in J&K

Jammu Mar 11: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, visited Srinagar and Nagrota to undertake a comprehensive review of the prevailing operational and security situation in the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with formation commanders and senior officers to deliberate on the evolving security dynamics and the measures required to effectively address emerging challenges. Detailed discussions were held on strengthening multi-domain surveillance, enhancing real-time intelligence integration and maintaining a high level of operational preparedness across the region.Lt Gen Pratik Sharma emphasised the need for sustained vigilance and coordinated efforts among various security agencies to ensure continued peace and stability. He also stressed on improving operational synergy and adopting advanced strategies to counter any potential threats.
The Army Commander commended the troops for their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment in safeguarding the region. He reiterated the importance of maintaining an unrelenting vigil while ensuring the safety and security of the people.
The Northern Command reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness and to ensuring peace, stability and normalcy across Jammu and Kashmir.
