All India Mahila Empowerment Party held a press meet in Hyderabad on today. Dr. Nowhera Shaik, founder and national president of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) made significant announcements regarding the party’s strategy and goals for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Shaik, who has been a vocal advocate for women’s rights and empowerment, outlined the party’s commitment to these issues and emphasized the need for greater representation of women in Parliament.
Nowhera Shaik confirmed her candidacy for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat. She said that The AIMEP stands firm on its founding principles of justice, equality, secularism, and gender justice.
Dr. Shaik elucidated the party’s strategy to revitalize old Hyderabad, with a focus on development and empowerment, especially for women and marginalized communities. She believes the party’s grassroots initiatives and attention to the underprivileged will strike a chord with voters.
Addressing the urban challenges faced by Hyderabad, Dr. Shaik acknowledged the city’s infrastructure woes, including traffic congestion, water scarcity, and waste management issues. “The heartbeat of Hyderabad is its people, and they are yearning for change,” she stated. AIMEP’s blueprint for the city promises sustainable urban planning to tackle these pressing concerns.
Dr. Shaik pointed out the alarming depletion of Hyderabad’s lakes, advocating for conservation efforts and rainwater harvesting to safeguard the future.
On public safety, Dr. Shaik committed to bolstering security through stringent law enforcement and effective community policing, ensuring that every citizen feels safe.
While highlighting recent incidents in healthcare and education, She added that the recent healthcare and education incidents in Hyderabad are a wake-up call. We need reforms that ensure quality and accountability. Healthcare and education are not just services but fundamental rights that we pledge to uphold.”
