The Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory Karate Championship 2025 wrapped up with high energy and exceptional performances at the Indoor Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, on December 9 and 10.

Among the young stars of the event was Numaan Malik, an eight-year-old karate and 3rd standard student at G.D. Goenka School, Baramulla. Numaan delivered a stellar performance across both days of the championship, clinching two Gold medals — the first on December 9 and the second on December 10 — making him one of the youngest double gold medalists of the tournament.
His precision, agility, and composure on the mat drew admiration from coaches, referees, and spectators alike. Numaan’s achievement is being celebrated widely in Baramulla, with his school and community hailing him as a rising star in martial arts.
The championship brought together talented athletes from across the Union Territory, offering a platform for young martial artists to compete and grow.
