Srinagar, July 12: A cloudburst damaged the Pahalgam-Avoora-Bijbehara road in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday, disrupting traffic and snapping electricity and drinking water supply in the area.

The cloudburst caused extensive damage to a stretch of the road, affecting connectivity and disrupting essential services, they said.
As a precautionary measure, tourists were shifted to safer locations by the authorities.
Officials said the power and water supply were affected after the cloudburst, while assessment of the damage was underway.
Local residents urged the district administration to expedite restoration of the damaged road and resume electricity and drinking water supply at the earliest to minimise inconvenience to residents and tourists.
