Pak Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at His Knees

April 27, 2025 | Omkar Dattatray

Pakistan and its prime minister, leaders are in a tremendous pressure right since Indian government has announced a slew of diplomatic, political and economic counter measures post Pahalgam terrorist attack to show that country its proper place and force her to submission. India has yet to announce and begin military measures to strike terror net works and terrorist camps in POK and in Pakistani soil ,but the non-military diplomatic measures have its effect and it is clearly seen in the announcement of its prime minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement that his government is ready to participate in the investigations in the Pahalgam terrorist massacre with the rider that such a probe should be impartial ,unbiased ,fair and to be more specific neutral. This hurriedly announced statement by Pak premier smacks nothing more than bending on his Keynes’s before the powerful India and its bold and world popular leader Narendra Modi.

It is the Prime minister Pakistan’s bending before India’s might and can be construed its weakness. In fact it is the  announcement of decision of GOI to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 which has created fears ,anxiety ,confusion ,tension and chaos in the government ,political circles and last but not least among the common people of that country who fear that they will be hit hard by the  suspension of the IWT. let me be fair that the fears ,anxiety of the Pak government, its political parties as well as the common Pakistani is not unreal and illusory but is real as that country will be hit hard when India implements this unprecedented counter measure. When Indian government will stop the flow of Indus waters from going to Pakistan, it will create much  difficulties, inconveniences and troubles for the agriculturalists ,famers ,orchardists and other people directly and indirectly connect with farming. There will be scarcity and paucity of water for irrigation purposes and the agricultural production will adversely affect.

There will be is uproar and noises not only by the Pakistani establishment, political parties but also among the common masses of POK and Pakistan and it clearly shows that the proverb of coming events cast its shadow before and this is really happening in Pakistan. But one this is crystal clear that diplomatic and political counter measures are not enough to reign in terrorists and their masterminds but there should be something bigger in the itinerary of India. Thus nothing short of a military strike on the terrorist camps in POK and Pakistan is the need of the hour and 140 crore Indian’s ,its political parties across the spectrum and the government will pursue military strikes on the terror hideouts and camps to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure and nothing less than a surgical strike is the answer to the terror problem. However there should not a  full-fledged was between India and Pakistan as the war will bring catastrophe in both the countries as both states possess nuclear weapons of mass destruction .And see the frustration of Pakistan, its foreign minister has given warning of a nuclear war if India indulges in war and if she thrusts war on its neighbor Pakistan.

It seems that there is chaos ,confusion and tension in Pakistan and thus its leaders are giving unwanted  warnings which will adversely affect economies, development of Both the countries and mind Pakistan’s will remain in a big casualty and that country will be at the receiving end. In fact it was the Union minister of India, Hardeep Singh Puri who while hitting out at Pakistan over the Pahalgam terror attack said the other day that the neighboring country will be ‘’brought to its knees so that they never think of resorting to such a despicable act again.’’ Puri said that Pakistan is a country in’’ terminal decline’’ periodically using terrorism as an instrument of state policy. ’’I think they have miscalculated this time. They have dialed the wrong number because the leadership we have now is led by Prime minister Narindra Modi.

The statement of the PM made from Bihar was that—enough is enough and now they will face consequences,’’the minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas H.S Puri said in Mohali Punjab. Relations between India and Pakistan that were already strained ,nosedived further after the Pahalgam terrorist attack ,with New Delhi announcing a raft of retaliatory steps and Islamabad hitting back with a string of tit –for-tat measures. As said at the outset that India announced a set of diplomatic measures, including expulsion of Pakistani military attachés ,suspension of Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 and immediate shutting down of the Attari land-transit post, alleging cross –border links to the Pahalgam attack. It was the first time since 1960 that IWT was suspended and it inflicts appropriate cost on Pakistan. Pakistan’s irrigation, farm produce agriculture ,orchards will be adversely get affected. Pakistan’s power generation will also get impacted and it will plunge Pakistan in darkness.

It manufacturing units will also get badly affected. Therefore there is great hue and cry not only in the Pak establishment, its political parties but also among the general masses. India and Pakistan born from the womb of the same mother, are today at different conditions ,India is the fifth largest economy of the world while the economy of Pakistan is fragile and on the path of collapse ,there is scarcity of the food and other essential goods and services in Pakistan and it has excelled only in making terrorism a state policy and she is at the verge of bankruptcy and starvation ,but still it helps and sponsors terror to India and is not ashamed of its nefarious activities. Pakistan is exporting, abetting and sponsoring terrorism In Jammu and Kashmir and the slew of counter measures announced by the Modi government will strike at the very roots of terrorism diplomatically but the real test of Indian governments efficiency and response to Pahalgam terror attack will be how will our country impound and dismantle terrorist camps and hideouts in Pakistan. The Pahalgam terror attack is unprecedented and huge and demands and deserves extra-ordinary measures to combat terrorism and bombard terrorist camps in Pakistan. India should give a befitting reply to the terrorism from across the border and therefore India should unleash its power by resorting to military strikes on the terrorist camps and hideouts in our neighboring country. In short Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif now bends on his knees and before India and it shows the fear in the minds of Pakistani leadership.
