Paras Hospital patients left waiting for hours

September 15, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Srinagar, Sep 14: Patients at Paras Hospital in Srinagar were allegedly left waiting for hours for follow-up consultations on Monday, with a patient taking to social media to raise concerns over the conduct of a doctor and the hospital’s handling of the situation.

In a social media post, Syed Salim Gilani said he had a follow-up appointment with Dr Altaf Umar Ramzan at Paras Hospital and that he, along with other patients, had been waiting since 9 am.
Gilani alleged that the doctor arrived at around 10:30 am but left without seeing the patients despite several people waiting for consultation.
“Many patients are suffering,” Gilani said in his post, while questioning the absence of anyone to listen to the concerns of the waiting patients.
The complaint has raised questions over appointment management and communication with patients at the private hospital, particularly when patients have already arrived at the facility at the scheduled time.
Paras Hospital and Dr Altaf Umar Ramzan were not immediately available for a response to the allegations. The hospital’s response, if received, will be incorporated.
