PHDCCI Kashmir gears up for REV-Expo 2026 with strategic meet in Srinagar

 The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir Chapter successfully organised a high-level strategic networking session today in Srinagar to galvanise participation and build momentum for the upcoming Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicle Exposition (REV-Expo) 2026. The Expo is scheduled to be held in Chandigarh from 9th to 11th January 2026.

The session served as a crucial preparatory platform, bringing together key stakeholders from the renewable energy ecosystem of Jammu & Kashmir. The event saw active participation from leading solar technology providers, officials from the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and the Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), along with prominent solar entrepreneurs from across the Union Territory.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Himayu Wani, Co-Chair, PHDCCI Kashmir. The session was addressed by a host of official dignitaries and industry experts, including Ms. Shemaila Aslam (Project Head, REC), Mr. Raheel (KPDCL), Mr. Mayank (Eventage), Mr. Haroon Kar (Chief Manager, HPCL), Mr. Owais (JAKEDA), Mr Mohd Rafiq- SIDBI, Mr. Shahid Khan (PHDCCI), Ms. Madeena Mir Director CNS infotel , Ms Qaiser Mir Director Valley Orion Solar and Mr. Bilal Kawoosa (General Convenor, PHDCCI Kashmir) and Mr Ashiq Bhat from Orion Group , Representatives from technology and skill providers such as Usha and Voltra also contributed to the dialogue. A highlight of the event was the ceremonial unveiling of the Annual Calendar 2026 by CNS Infotel, a gesture applauded by the attending industry leaders. The networking dialogue focused on the critical theme of accelerating J&K's transition to a sustainable energy future. Discussions centred on the urgent need for policy interventions to foster growth in the renewable sector and the significant benefits of switching to the electric and solar segments. Participants emphasised that this transition is not only vital for preserving the region's fragile environment but is also key to making energy more affordable, reliable, and sustainable for all stakeholders.
Speaking on the occasion, the Co-Chair of PHDCCI Kashmir stated, "This session marks a concerted step towards aligning J&K's entrepreneurial spirit with national sustainability goals. The REV-Expo in Chandigarh presents a monumental opportunity for our local solar providers and entrepreneurs to see innovations, forge partnerships, and learn from global best practices. Our discussions today on policy and practical adoption pathways are crucial for building a greener, self-reliant J&K.
Representatives from KPDCL and JAKEDA shared insights into existing schemes and the regulatory landscape, while entrepreneurs highlighted both the opportunities and challenges on the ground. The collective consensus underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between government bodies, industry players, and innovators to unlock the full potential of renewable energy in the region.
The session concluded with a strong commitment from participants to actively engage in the REV-Expo 2026, viewing it as a pivotal event to drive investment, technological exchange, and sustainable development in Jammu & Kashmir
