In a proud moment for young literary talent, Director General School Education, J&K, G.N. Itoo (JKAS) formally released the poetry book “Reflections of Our Soul” authored by a Class 12 student Waailah Muzamil at a special function held at SCERT, Srinagar.
The event was graced by Joint Director School Education, CEO Srinagar, and Principal of Amira Kadal School, Ms. Nusrat Manzoor, who appreciated the student’s creative accomplishment and encouraged young learners to explore literature and art as expressions of thought and emotion.
Speaking about her journey, the young author shared,
“It’s often said that ‘paper has more patience than people,’ which I believed was just a quote—until I lived it. I was never good at expressing myself, so I wrote. Writing became my habit, my hobby, and eventually my passion. The Reflections of Our Soul is a collection of my thoughts—a reflection of my own being, of what I couldn’t say but could write. I wrote this for others to relate, to feel seen, and to find themselves in the reflections of their own souls.”
She expressed her deep gratitude to DG Education G.N. Itoo for officially releasing her book and to her Principal, Ms. Nusrat Manzoor, for her continuous support and encouragement. She also thanked her mother and family for their love and motivation throughout her literary journey.
The release of Reflections of Our Soul stands as an inspiring reminder of how creativity and expression can blossom at any age, given the right encouragement and faith.
