Police acts tough on traffic violators in Shopian

Shopian, Nov 23: Continuing its stringent drive against traffic violations, Police in Shopian have intensified enforcement across the district to ensure road safety and promote responsible driving habits. During the ongoing campaign, hundreds of two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been seized and challaned for various violations, including lack of proper documents, rash driving, triple riding, driving without helmet, overloading and other offences under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police in Shopian have intensified enforcement across the district to ensure road safety and promote responsible driving habits. During the ongoing campaign, hundreds of two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been seized and challaned for various violations, including lack of proper documents, rash driving, triple riding, driving without helmet, overloading and other offences under the Motor Vehicles Act.
Special checkpoints and mobile teams were deployed at key locations to check compliance, verify documents and take immediate action against violators. The drive aims not only to enforce traffic rules but also to reduce the risk of accidents and safeguard the lives of commuters and pedestrians.
