Gurez Aug 26: Police in Bandipora under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of Jammu & Kashmir Police, organised a Knockout Cricket Tournament at Habba Khatoon Stadium, Dawar Gurez, which was formally inaugurated today by SDPO Gurez and SHO Gurez.

A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament, providing local youth with a platform to showcase their cricketing talent and engage in healthy and constructive sporting activities. The initiative aims to promote sportsmanship, youth engagement, discipline and teamwork, while further strengthening police-public relations in the Gurez area.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers highlighted the important role of sports in channelising the energy of youth towards positive pursuits and fostering a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition.
Police remains committed to organising such community-oriented activities under the Civic Action Programme to enhance public engagement and provide meaningful opportunities for the youth.
