
Police in Sopore kicked off T-10 Knockout Cricket Tournament at Eden Park MET Ground in Sopore, with SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS and Addl. SP Sopore Shri. Mir Murtaza-JKPS as chief guests. The tournament features 10 teams, promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, and unity among youth.
The inauguration ceremony set the stage for an exciting tournament, with SP Sopore encouraging players to demonstrate skills, discipline, and teamwork. The tournament provides a platform for healthy competition among young people.
The inaugural match saw Twoes Cricket Club face off against Friends Eleven, with Friends Eleven setting a target of 134 in 10 overs after winning the toss and won the match by 42 runs. Danish 10 was awarded with Player of the Match award for his outstanding innings of 50 runs.
The event was also attended by dignitaries, including SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS, and DySP DAR Sopore Shri. Mohammad Abdullah and other officers/officials of Police.
