Police organises kabaddi tournament in Gbl

 As part of the nationwide celebrations commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, J&K Police organised a Kabaddi Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, Wakura.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth, sports lovers, and students, reflecting the enduring legacy of Sardar Patel’s vision of unity, strength, and community engagement. Several teams from different areas of Ganderbal district took part in the tournament, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive spirit.
The tournament was inaugurated by Addl. SP Ganderbal Shri Owaise Loun-JKPS, accompanied by Incharge Police Post Shadipora and other officers, who highlighted the importance of sports in promoting teamwork, physical fitness, and positive engagement among the youth. They also emphasised that such initiatives help foster a strong police-public bond and encourage young people to channel their energy into constructive activities. Participants and spectators appreciated the efforts of J&K Police for organising the tournament and providing a platform to local talent. Winning Team and outstanding performers were felicitated with trophies and certificates.
J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to organising more youth-centric programmes and sports activities aimed at nurturing talent and strengthening community relations.
