
Under the aegis of SSP Shopian Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, J&K Police inaugurated a Kho-Kho Knockout Tournament for girls under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), in which six teams from different schools and institutes of the district are participating. The inaugural match was held at Mohammadiya Institute Shopian, witnessing enthusiastic participation from young student players.
The tournament was inaugurated by DySP DAR Shopian, who was ac-companied by SHO Police Station Shopian. The officers interacted with the par-ticipating teams and encouraged them to exhibit discipline, sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the competition.
On the occasion, DySP DAR appreciated the efforts of the students and staff of Mohammadiya Institute and motivated the girls to take active part in sports. He highlighted the significance of physical fitness, teamwork and con-structive engagement for the overall development of youth. He reiterated that Shopian Police, under the guidance of SSP Shopian, remains committed to pro-moting sports activities aimed at building a drug-free and crime-free society.
