Police in Budgam under the Civic Action Programme 2024-25 (CAP) organized a T20 knockout Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium Budgam. Ten teams from district will be participating in the tournament, offering a competitive platform for young cricketers to exhibit their talent.
The inaugural event of the tournament was attended by Addl. SP Budgam Rameez Raja-JKPS under the supervision of SSP Budgam, Nikhil Borkar-IPS. The inaugural match was played between NCC Narbal versus SWM Khansahib. While speaking on the occasion Addl. SP Budgam commended all the teams for their participation. He emphasized on the importance of sports in improving both the physical and mental well-being while steering youth away from drugs and other negative influences.
The event also aims to promote teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship among the participants.
The event was also attended by DySP DAR Budgam Ghulam Mohi ud din and other officers of Budgam Police. The event was witnessed by a large gathering of sports lovers.
