Police recovers 46 missing mobile phones in Gbl

In a significant achievement, Cyber Police Station Ganderbal has successfully traced and recovered 46 Missing/lost Cell phones, collectively Worth Lakhs of rupees from different parts of UT of J&K.

Cyber Police Station Ganderbal received multiple complaints from the general public in the past 04 months regarding missing mobile phones. Acting on these complaints, some special and dedicated teams of Cyber Police Station Ganderbal were formed. These teams put in sustained technical and field efforts, resulting in the successful recovery of 46 cell phones from various locations.
These recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their rightful owners by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, in the presence of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal, after following the legal procedure.
This recovery reflects the commitment of J&K Police towards addressing public grievances and combating cyber-enabled crimes through effective use of technology and coordinated policing.
J&K Police advised the general public to exercise caution while using mobile phones and other electronic gadgets to safeguard themselves against cyber frauds and crimes. In case of any cybercrime or fraud, citizens are advised to immediately lodge a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at www.cybercrime.gov.in and also report the matter to Cyber Police Station without delay.
J&K Police remains committed to ensuring cyber safety and protecting the digital interests of the public.
