In its continuing drive to eradicate the drug menace from the society, police arrested a person and recovered about 9.75kgs of Charas from his possession in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police said acting on specific information received through reliable sources, a police party conducted a successful operation in Sheikh Mohalla, during which two nylon sacks containing 9.75Kgs of charas powder-like substance was recovered from the house of one Mehraj Din Sheikh. The accused was arrested instantly, police said
Accordingly, a case under under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
Police remain steadfast in its commitment to eradicating drug abuse and trafficking in the district, they said.
