Imphal, Dec 14: On 12 December 2025, the President of India and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Smt Droupadi Murmu, visited a Brigade Headquarters of the Indian Army in Senapati district, Manipur, underscoring her engagement with the nation’s armed forces and their operational establishments.

During the visit, the President was received by senior army officers and all ranks stationed at the Brigade Headquarters. She interacted with personnel, observing the functioning of the unit and gaining insights into their operational preparedness, training, and welfare measures. The visit provided an opportunity to witness firsthand the dedication, discipline, and resilience of soldiers deployed in challenging terrains of the northeastern region.
Smt Murmu acknowledged the role of the Indian Army in safeguarding national security and maintaining peace in sensitive border areas. She appreciated the commitment of the troops in ensuring stability while performing duties under demanding conditions, often far from their families.
