
J&K Police today attached properties belonging to two proclaimed offenders under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The action, carried out by Baramulla Police with the assistance of the Revenue Department, followed orders of the Special UAPA Court, Baramulla in connection with 2008 FIR registered at Police Station Pattan registered under Sections 2/3 EIMCO Act, Section 121 RPC, and Section 19 UA(P) Act.
The attached properties include 3 kanals and 15 marlas of land owned by Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh and 4 kanals and 17 marlas of land belonging to Mohommad Rafiq Tantray, both residents
of Tantraypora Palhallan and presently in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
“The properties were properly identified and demarcated, and due legal formalities, including proclamation and public notification, were duly completed,” police said.
“This action reflects the firm resolve of Baramulla Police to act decisively against individuals involved in unlawful and anti-national activities. The process of identifying and attaching
properties of such offenders will continue as per due process of law," they added.
