Kulgam, July 14: Authorities have attached immovable properties worth nearly ₹1 crore belonging to two individuals accused in a 2021 narcotics case in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, in a continuing crackdown on assets allegedly linked to drug trafficking.

The attached properties include two residential houses owned by Javid Ahmad Dar and Parvez Ahmad Dar, both residents of Kujjar village. The attachment was carried out by Police Station Yaripora after obtaining orders from the competent authority under the relevant legal provisions.

The action is linked to FIR No. 10/2021 registered at Police Station Yaripora. During the investigation, police recovered 200 kilograms of Fukki, a derivative of the poppy plant. The case remains under judicial process.

With the attachment in place, the owners are prohibited from selling, transferring, or otherwise dealing with the properties without following the prescribed legal procedure, as the investigation into assets allegedly connected to the narcotics offence continues.
