Sakeena Itoo directed officers to adopt a proactive approach in grievance resolution and stressed that all complaints must be addressed within stipulated timelines without unnecessary delays. She emphasized that public welfare remains the top priority of the Government and accountability in service delivery must be strengthened.
She also instructed departments to enhance inter-departmental coordination, undertake regular field visits and closely monitor ongoing development works to ensure effective implementation at the ground level.
Several delegations raised issues including upgradation of healthcare and educational infrastructure, improvement of roads and civic amenities, filling of vacant posts in key departments, and inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under welfare schemes. The Minister issued on-the-spot directions in several cases and sought action-taken reports on matters requiring further examination.
Reiterating the Government’s focus on inclusive development, she said sustained efforts are being made to strengthen healthcare, education and social welfare systems across Jammu and Kashmir so that benefits of schemes reach all sections of society.
Senior officials responded to multiple grievances during the programme, with several issues resolved on the spot while others were forwarded to concerned departments for prompt follow-up and necessary action.
