The District Pulwama Athletics Championship 2025-26, organised by the District Pulwama Athletics Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council under the banner of the J&K Athletics Association, concluded successfully with an impressive medal distribution ceremony at the Sports Stadium Pulwama. The two-day championship, held from November 7th to 8th, witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 100 athletes across various age categories including Sub-Junior, Junior & Senior groups.

Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Manager of Sports Stadium Pulwama, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, while International Baseball Player Shah Sameer attended as the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries felicitated the winners & runners-up with medals & certificates, appreciating the participants for their outstanding performances & sportsmanship. Owais Ahmad Dar, Secretary of the District Pulwama Athletics Association, was also present on the occasion. The event concluded on a positive note, promoting athletic spirit & encouraging youth participation in sports across the district
