Pulwama, June 1: The District Pulwama Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the J&K Ball Badminton Association, will organize the District Pulwama Ball Badminton Championship for Boys and Girls (2026-27). The two-day tournament, sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, is scheduled to be held at Alhabeeb Modern High School, Pulwama, from June 9 to June 10, 2026.

The championship aims to promote the sport of Ball Badminton in the region and provide young athletes with a platform to showcase their talent. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the official rules of the Ball Badminton Federation of India (BBFI), ensuring fair play and competitive standards.
All affiliated clubs, schools, colleges, and educational institutions of Pulwama district are invited to participate. Interested players must submit their entries by June 8, 2026, through WhatsApp or SMS at 6006675220 (Organising Secretary).
Participants are required to submit:
• A photocopy of their Aadhaar card
• Two passport-size photographs
No on-the-spot entries will be entertained.
The draw of fixtures will be conducted on June 9 at 11:00 AM at the competition venue.
A key highlight of the championship will be the selection of outstanding players who will represent Pulwama district at the upcoming UT-level Ball Badminton Championship. The event offers a valuable opportunity for emerging athletes to compete at a higher level and gain wider exposure.
The District Pulwama Ball Badminton Association reiterated its commitment to promoting sports among youth and ensuring the successful conduct of the championship.
