Rambagh traffic gridlock amid unequal enforcement

December 13, 2025 | Mohammad Danish

Residents in Rambagh faced difficulties in the morning as traffic police reportedly challenged locals while they tried to buy essential items, leading to frustration among commuters.

According to eyewitnesses, police personnel were strict in regulating two-wheeler and pedestrian movement, stopping residents from crossing roads or accessing nearby shops. However, observers noted a disparity in enforcement, with passenger vehicles being allowed to halt in the middle of the road for pick-ups and drop-offs, causing congestion and raising questions about uniformity in traffic management.
Local shopkeepers and residents expressed concern that such selective enforcement not only inconveniences citizens but also disrupts the smooth flow of traffic in the busy Rambagh area. They urged the authorities to adopt fair and consistent measures, ensuring both public safety and minimal disruption to daily activities.
Traffic officials said they are monitoring the situation and would review enforcement protocols to balance regulation with public convenience.
