Jammu, Mar 9: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, conducted a virtual review of development projects and government scheme implementation in Baramulla district, emphasizing holistic development, timely execution, and optimal utilisation of resources.

The meeting assessed progress under Jal Jeevan Mission, Irrigation and Flood Control projects, CAMPA, Tribal Affairs schemes, RDSS, NABARD, District Capex, and various Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Attending officials included the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Pollution Control Committee Chairman, Director Tribal Affairs, Director Finance Tribal Affairs, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, and MLAs from multiple constituencies.
Rana stressed the need for greater accountability, coordination, and a proactive work culture among officers to ensure efficient service delivery and timely completion of development works. He also directed departments to prevent fund lapses and address administrative hurdles affecting public services.
Legislators raised issues including water supply under AMRUT 2.0, upgradation of health facilities, multi-level parking, road widening and beautification, power infrastructure, and construction of mini-secretariats. The Minister assured that all concerns are under government consideration and will be addressed in a time-bound manner, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to public welfare and accelerated regional development.
