Red Shield Division holds joint security meet in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 11: The Red Shield Division under the Spear Corps organised a Joint Security Conference at Laipuli, Assam, to review and strengthen security preparedness ahead of the Independence Day celebrations.

The conference brought together security and law-enforcement stakeholders to assess the prevailing security environment and evolve a coordinated response to potential threats during the upcoming national celebrations.
The discussions focused on intelligence fusion, threat assessment, coordinated response mechanisms and inter-agency cooperation, with emphasis on ensuring timely sharing of information and seamless coordination among participating agencies.
Officials deliberated on emerging security challenges and reviewed mechanisms to strengthen surveillance, information exchange and operational preparedness. The emphasis was on adopting a proactive approach so that potential threats could be identified and addressed before they escalate.
The conference also sought to improve coordination between agencies during contingencies. Participants discussed the importance of clearly defined response mechanisms and maintaining effective communication channels to ensure a swift and coordinated response to any security situation.
With Independence Day approaching, the meeting assumed significance as security agencies across the country have stepped up preparedness to ensure peaceful and incident-free celebrations.
